work has been really stressful and i'm breaking out in hives all over almost everyday =(
a few weeks ago, my director gave me an opportunity to take over the pre-k class next year which at first i was very excited about. i've been prepping for curriculum and getting my classroom all set up. however, just these last two weeks, 3 out of 6 of my co-workers are dealing with illnesses in the family and one of the full time teacher who's been around for 20 years is leaving to teach at another school. so by default my director is putting all their task onto me. i went into work last monday and find that my task list is just getting longer. now i not only need to prep for the the pre-k class, i need to prep to get the whole school ready. i asked if the part time teachers can come into work the week before school starts to help do all the chores, but the answer i got was that "oh, because the part time teachers are being pay hourly, so we don't want to do that."
i know it's just the season for us right now and i need to understand and cover for my co-workers but sometimes i'm just screaming about how unfair this whole thing is.
onto a happier note. i did enjoyed the two trips that i was able to take this summer. even though i didn't blog about them, i'll list the favorites and here are some pic.
bath
-cute 19th century town and the jane austin tea room
scotland
-best tour guide and loved haggis
ireland
-giant causeway is breath taking
alaska cruise
- haven't quite decided how i feel about cruises yet. it was pure luxury because i can get what i want all the time, and the abundance of food but it also makes me feel very wasteful.
best part about alaska though was the excursion for a helicopter ride up to the glacier follow by the dog sledge ride in skagway.
