pictures
after much procrastination i finally uploaded all my pictures from july and aug.
here are some pictures of food that i tried to make...
inspired by jean at olivia's bridal shower...
these are my version of bake brie and chocolate croissant

sometime in mid july, maria and I hosted a french/fondue dinner… so I tried two new recipes;
filet with gorgonzola and porcini mushroom sauce

scalloped potatoes with goat cheese
more pics from the dinner
i also went on two domestic trips; dc by myself, and chicago with karen. i know... crazy.... but i found good deals for both of them and i had vacation days, so why not?
chicago
well my summer vacation is ending soon. this friday will be my first day of full time work. my new position will be teacher/assistant director. the teacher part i'm very familiar with. however having to oversee some big projects as an assistant director is pretty new to me, and being the youngest person at work doesn't help. nonetheless, i'm still very excited about work.

i think i put too much chocolate in the pastry dough so the choco ended up exposed...

tag- 10 simple pleasures
hehe and it took me a few days to realize that i've been tagged by chris....
here is my list of 10 simple pleasures not in particular order:
10) travelling- it doesn't even matter where. i like adventures, seeing new things and experiencing new cultures.
9) eating something really good. from hot dog to a piece of steak, good food just makes me happy! some of you might have witnessed how i bobbed my head around and smiling when i eat yummy food... hey what can i say, my body just naturally react to good food.
8) reading a suspenseful murder mystery in bed with my blanket over me.
7) cooking for people.... as long as i don't get them sick.
6) going out on dates with God- i enjoy times at the park or the beach with Him; just reading His words, talking to Him and thinking about Him.
5) laughing til it hurts- i agree with chris on this one and i would add being silly on top of it. there's something about being able to loosen up and just be out of character every once in awhile is very refreshing.
4) piano music of all types- especially jazz.
3) rain. i just love the sound of raindrops and the misty look of the city when it rains. one of my favorite things to do is walking in the rain with an umbrella.
2) seeing an "ah-ha" moment in children. it's a rewarding feeling seeing children discover a new concept, or accomplish something on their own.
1) creating something pretty; crafts, decorating, design, scrapbooking, even organizing things makes me happy....
okay, i tag
