taiwan trip

been back from taiwan for a month now... here are some highlights and pictures from my trip:
my brother's wedding;

they looked so cute and happy that you would never have guess that both of them caught the stomach flu and the bride was actually hospitalized til the day before the wedding...

it was a huge wedding, but it was still very nice. =) more pictures here.
and now i have a sister-in-law.

after all the craziness my parents and i took a mini trip to tainan (where my mom grew up) and taichung.. actually the focus of the trip was food, but i will spare you with a post of just food. however if you want check out taiwan 06

this used to be my grandparent's house in tainan, but after they passed away, they rented to Adidas.

the only thing that remain unchanged is part of the garden in the back.... i almost cry when i saw what was left of it... so many good memories.

below is an old district of tainan. after the city tear down some of the old houses, the government decided to beautify the city by using creative art to cover all the left over walls with huge murals and photographs.

from tainan we went north to taichung- sun moon lake:

this is a shot of the pool from the hotel that we stayed at

the next day, my dad woke me up at 6am to watch the sunrise... pretty colors, but we weren't facing the right side to actually see the sun comes up

i love these two pictures with the light fog over the water.

after sun-moon lake, we took the train back to taipei.
we were too full to eat a railway bento box, sigh...

the end!

kids...

got it from work this week... too funny

The boss of a big company needed to call one of his employees about
an Urgent problem with one of the main computers,
dialed the employee's home phone number
and was greeted with a child's whisper.
"Hello."

"Is your daddy home?" he asked.
"Yes," whispered the small voice.
"May I talk with him?"
The child whispered, "No."

Surprised, and wanting to talk with an adult,
the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"

"Yes."
"May I talk with her?"
Again the small voice whispered, "No."

Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the
boss asked,"Is anybody else there?"
"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman."

Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home,
the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"
"No, he's busy", whispered the child.

"Busy doing what?"

"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman."
came the whispered answer.

Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a
Helicopter through the earpiece on the phone the boss asked,
"What is that noise?"

"A hello-copper" answered the whispering voice.

"What is going on there?" asked the boss, now truly alarmed.

In an awed whispering voice the child answered, "The search team
just landed the hello-copper." Alarmed, concerned, and even more then just
a little frustrated the boss asked,
"What are they searching for?"

Still whispering, the young voice replied along with a muffled giggle:

"ME"
