new book

my new desk top is HERE!!!!!
now it's just matter of getting it ready to use.... haha

currently reading this book call the curious incident of the dog in the night-time that i would really recommend especially for teachers. it's written from the perspective of an autistic child and it’s fascinating. most autistic children are brilliant in subjects like math and science, but have no understanding of human emotions. they perceive the world literally and have hard time with abstract ideas. it made me think about the autistic student i have at school and wonder if it’s possible for him to know God or have a relationship with Him. Even though he says his prayers with the whole class before lunch, but now i’m thinking that it’s more for the sake of having a routine, since autistic children need routines as their “hiding place” in this chaotic world. i don’t know the answer to my own question…. but the thought of that just breaks my heart.

4th of july weekend

i feel like recaps are all i've been writing in my blog.... but i guess it gives all my friends an update about my life.

here is a quick version of my four day weekend
i went to 1 surprised birthday party -but of course, andrea was not surprised at all

visited 1 museum- legion of honor, the monet in normandy exhibit

2 concerts-
take 6 at yoshi's

and s.f. symphony at shoreline amphitheater

saw 2 fireworks

tried 3 new restaurants-
clarke's

overall pretty good but not the best "ever"

the one i'm really looking foward to opening is The Counter in p.a. i first had it in l.a. and it was SO good. =p

bistro vida

very good onion soup

and park chow

yummy grill fish sandwich.

saw 5 movies-superman, failure to launch, casanova, the producer and match point
superman was good, but i thought it's funny how ppl couldn't tell that clark= superman. that one scene when lois dropped her purse and knocked clark's glasses off was funny, the whole time i was thinking in my head "just look up lois, look up."
failure to launch was surprisingly good, it wasn't as predictable as most romantic comedy movies. and sarah jessica parker was better at her charcater in the movie, but still had her carrie squeal which was annoying
the producer was really funny and lots of catchy phrases and songs. the best song "ever" from the movie was Der Guten Tag hop-clop
the other two movies.... i wouldn't suggest

and here are some more pictures from 4th of july weekend

okie dash dokie, that's about it.
