back from Spain!
just got back from Spain yesterday.. and i miss it already...
it was a good trip. we had a lot of fun together, got to know everyone pretty well being with them 24/7. we also ate lots of good tapas too...top priority for joy. =) learned a lot about spain from Brick Steve.. aka bob lin. he practically read the Rick Steve guide book from cover to cover.
some of the sightseeing highlights are:
- Gaudi's work in Barcelona (Sagrada Familia, Case Mila, Casa Batllo, and Park Guell)
- British Library
- Flamenco show in Seville
- Granada; especially the Alhambra area with Moorish architecture
experiences of spain:
- outdoor cafe
- street musicians
- cobblestones
- second hand smoke everywhere
- flower box on the windows
- lack of deordorant.. Europa!
yummy foods:
- chocolate con churros
- croquetas de gamba (shrimp croquettes)
- melon con Jamon (melon and ham)
- spinach and gorgonzola pockets
- rabo de toro (bull tail)
funny moments:
- andrea's "Oooo-Kkkk"
- joy's flying all over the place on the bus and "i am okay!"
- karen and the black cat "why aren't you a dog??"
- joy's Marilyn Monroe incidence
- photos of the Khakis and huge...
- andrea walking down the escalator backwards
- joy and andrea bleeding chocolate
can have less of:
- ham and sandwiches
- Bang
- waiting around at the airports... our flight was cancelled going into Barcelona, so we wasted a whole day at the airport. =(
can have more of:
- an extra day or two in barcelona would be nice... actually a whole week more would be nice.
well, that sums up my two weeks in spain. i will try to upload the pictures from spain soon on my yahoo photos. you can also check out our other blog. http://chipsandchurros.blogspot.com/

how come all the funny moments are about the same ppl? ;)
you should add mike's uncanny ability to always be around when the weird stuff happened to us.
